Mastercote Invests in a State-of-the-Art Oven with Support from Norfolk County Council

In September, we took a major step forward in our commitment to efficiency and sustainability by replacing our old 25-year-old 12-metre tunnel oven with a brand-new, state-of-the-art 23-metre tunnel oven.

This investment is part of our long-term strategy to improve production capacity while significantly reducing our environmental impact. A Carbon Footprint Report carried out in December 2024 estimated that replacing the oven would deliver an annual carbon saving of 127 tonnes. In practice, we believe the savings will be even greater.

The new oven’s advanced modulating burners allow us to run at 20°C lower than before, while still achieving excellent curing quality. In addition, we can now run our conveyor at double the previous speed, effectively doubling throughput and improving turnaround times for our customers.

This project has been supported by Norfolk County Council through their Business Transition to Net Zero scheme, helping businesses across the region adopt more sustainable practices.

We are proud to be leading the way in reducing carbon emissions within our industry while continuing to provide high-quality powder coating services for our customers.
